IMOGEN CUNNINGHAM; THE PHOTOGRAPHER

        Imogen Cunningham was one of the first professional female photographers in America. She was a quiet artist, one that wanted her work to speak for her rather than do it herself. Cunningham joined the art movements of pictorials and surrealism with her own style and was a founding member of the f.64. The project consisted on highlighting the versatility of her work and honor her seven decade long career in the format of a booklet.    
       The edges of the pages were carefully but intentionally used to resemble the way in which she defied the norm. Through the use of white space, I was able to transmit the simplicity and elegance in which she photographer her surroundings.
